Craig Lawson joined National Criminal Defense Group, P.A., as Of Counsel summer of 2016. He is a Palm Beach County native. After graduating from John I. Leonard High School, Lake Worth, in 1974, he attended Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, Florida, where he graduated in 1978 with a degree in Sociology. Mr. Lawson obtained his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in 1995 and is admitted to practice in the State of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
He prosecuted criminal cases, from 1995 through 2002, at the Office of the State Attorney as well as the Office of the Statewide Prosecution both in the 15th Judicial Circuit, where he gained invaluable trial experience from misdemeanors to murders. In 2003, he opened his Criminal Defense, Personal Injury and Civil Rights practice in Palm Beach County and services southeastern Florida.
He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, F. Malcolm Cunningham Bar Assoc., Palm Beach County Urban League’s Speakers Bureau, Palm Beach County Bar Association, South Palm Beach County Bar Association, Christian Legal Society, Palm Beach County Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the Craig S. Barnard American Inns of Court. He also serves as an Expulsion Hearing Officer for the Palm Beach County School District.
